Hey, Ma! What's for supper?

I just love this old photo. One brave soul is actually sitting on the alligator. Southern living in the early 1900's.

Allen and Felix go a hunting...for deer

Back of photo declares "At camp November 16, 1916. The larger deer at left belongs to Felix; dressed weight 225 lbs. The other, Allen's weighed 200 lbs. dressed. The building shown at left is the camp. Snow 18 inches deep."

"The return home November 21, 1916. Felix doesn't dare let go of his deer's horns fearing it may prove a dream." I'm sure Allen and Felix ate well that winter.

Allen and Felix go a hunting...for bears

Felix and Allen with cub bear and mother bear they caught. Not sure who shot which bear but appears to be a team effort. Bear meat is very tasty.

Mabel Richards...the skunk hunter

"Perhaps this will give you some idea what I have been doing since I had to give up High School. Lovingly, Mabel Richards"

Mabel is rather well dressed for skunk hunting, don't you think?

Allen and Felix go a hunting

"Ready to start for camp November 12, 1916. Notice the bear traps on side of car. The 'jug' contains milk. Allen in car. Felix outside."

Young boy shows off his new baseball uniform

This little fella is proud of his new baseball uniform and his playing skills. Not sure what year this photo was taken. This image was created from some old negatives I recently acquired. He sure is a cutie.

Here's the same young fellow who appears to be standing with his little sister.

Here's the young baseball player again in an action pose while his little sister shows no interest in his skills. These negatives were somewhat damaged but I managed to at least get these images from them. It would be a tragedy to have such wonderful images as these lost for all time.
